Yes, and we built it that way on purpose. A light on the front comes on whenever the camera is running. Glasses that film people secretly are a bad idea and a good way to get thrown out of a pub. These aren't those.
Is it legal to record with these?

In most everyday public settings, yes, and the recording light is there so it is visible, not secret. Rules differ by country and by state, especially for recording audio or filming private spaces, so use common sense and follow the local laws where you are. We are not lawyers, and this is not legal advice.
How do I get the footage onto my phone?

Open the free companion app and your photos, videos and voice recordings transfer over Wi-Fi. From there you keep them, share them, or delete them.
Do they work with my phone?

Yes. The app works with both iPhone and Android.
What is the video like?
